Texas Web Marketing

What has your website done for you lately?

Whether you built it yourself or hired someone else to produce your website, you have something invested in it; and you probably made that investment for a purpose.

What was the purpose? Has your site accomplished the purpose? Have you seen a return on your investment?

If not, then you may need online marketing help.

There are a lot of SEO and SEM companies out there. Some are good at it, some are not. We don’t make claims to be the best, but we have been doing it a long time.

So whether you enlist our help for your online marketing, hire someone else, or try your own hand at it, keep these points in mind:

  • Become familiar with the search engines’ rules. There are some “black hat” methods that some marketing companies will use that can get your site banned from search results.
  • Make sure you have procedures in place to measure your progress. If something isn’t working after a reasonable amount of time, try something different.
  • Search engines want their top results to be websites containing the most relevant content in relation to the search. Make your content valuable to the market you target.
  • Don’t place your emphasis on getting a #1 ranking, and don’t believe a company that guarantees a #1 ranking. You’ll be disappointed and probably waste a lot of time and/or money.

On that last point you’ll undoubtedly find some arguments. If you don’t believe us, then believe the search engines. Watch the video on the right in which Google spokesperson Matt Cutts addresses this very issue.
