The people behind Texas Web Marketing have been building, managing and marketing websites since 1996. We won’t claim to be pioneers or trailblazers, but when you consider that the first graphical web browser was developed only three years earlier, we think it’s safe to say that we’ve been around the block a few times.

We’re a small company that prefers to remain small. We don’t have thousands of accounts like some companies, nor do we want to. We prefer to know our clients personally and serve each as if we only had one client.

History

We got our start in a spare bedroom in Clifton, Texas in 1996, operating as Graphice Artem Promit. Yes, with a name like that it’s a wonder we survived.

Nevertheless, we did well as a small business designing both printed marketing materials and small websites. Just a few years later we moved out of the house and into a second-floor office in a local bank building, where we continued building and hosting e-commerce websites. The business was incorporated in 2000 and a DBA was established to shorten the name to Promit. In 2001 we moved to our current location on State Hwy. 6 (213 N. Avenue G) in Clifton.

Between 2003 and 2005 we made several strategic changes to the way we do business. Demand for our web-related services continued to increase and we quit designing and producing printed marketing materials to focus our full attention on online marketing. We began setting up and managing customers’ pay-per-click campaigns, first with Overture (later Yahoo!) and then Google Adwords. In 2005 we registered a second DBA, Texas Web Marketing, and split the business into two specialties: website architecture and consulting (Promit) and online marketing (Texas Web Marketing).

In 2005, Texas Web Marketing became one of the first companies in the state to employ a Qualified Adwords Professional under Google’s original testing program. In 2010 we achieved another first by becoming the only company between Austin and Dallas-Fort Worth to earn status as a Google Adwords Certified Partner.

Today, Texas Web Marketing and Promit combine to serve clients located throughout Texas, ranging from municipalities and state agencies, to non-profit organizations, to national e-commerce businesses, to small-town businesses with localized needs.
